Nuprin Boy is spinning (August)

right now I’m turning lots of vinyl so most of it is older:

•Peter Gabriel: So (still a great record, bought at Camelot Music while I was in high school-can’t believe it’s still in one piece)

•Betty Davis (An amazing guitar driven funk album)

•Prince: 1999 (I was 13 when I bought this, forgive if I let play)

•Harry Belafonte: Return to Carnegie Hall (Odetta belts an amazing medley on this one)

•Tom Waits: Sworfishtrombones (sounds so good on vinyl-his first venture into “soundscapes”)

•Mose Allison: Transfiguration of Hiram Brown (A suite of tunes about a small town country boy who goes off to the big city)

•Wilco: Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (Noise, sadness, melancholy… a great american record)
